MG founded by Cecil Kimber

Cecil Kimber joined Morris Cars in 1921 and became General Manager of Morris in 1922. He began producing his own tuned versions of Morris cars to boost sales. These cars took the name from the place they were sold, the Morris Garage. The first MG was the 14/28, based upon the Morris Oxford. The most iconic MG of the time was ‘Old Number One’ which Kimber himself had built to compete in the 1925 Lands End Trial. Kimber won a Gold Medal in the trial and MG’s sporting pedigree was born.

As the largest privately-owned car distributorship in Singapore, Eurokars Group manages seven legendary marques – Porsche, Rolls-Royce, MINI, Mazda, McLaren, MG, BMW and Pagani. In Indonesia, the group represents Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Maserati, Mazda, BMW (West Jakarta), BMW M, MG and Ferrari. Within the region, the group owns a Mazda dealership in Perth, Australia and operates Rolls-Royce dealerships in China’s Nanning and Shanghai Pudong.

MG facilities in Singapore in Singapore include a showroom along 19 Leng Kee Road and service centre at 5 Ubi Close. Customers who visit the showroom will experience top-of-the-line customer service, and an immersive environment which reflects the rich and varied heritage of the brand.

The MG service centre comprises an air-conditioned workshop that is staffed by well-qualified MG factory trained technicians, and fully equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and an electric charger to provide customers with best-in-class customer service and strong aftersales support as well as ultimate peace of mind.
